KDSAP at Virginia Tech
KDSAPVT is a collaborative team of Virginia Tech students, local physicians, and community members working together to provide kidney health screenings and health education. Based in Blacksburg, VA, we aim to support preventative care initiatives in the greater New River Valley area.

Kidney Disease Screening Awareness Program
KDSAPVT is a student-run organization at Virginia Tech, established in Spring 2023, as part of the national Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program (KDSAP), which was founded by Dr. Li-Li Hsiao at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in 2008.

In October 2024, KDSAPVT completed its inaugural screening at Warm Hearth Village in Blacksburg,VA, marking a major milestone in our mission to raise awareness about kidney health and prevention in the New River Valley area.
